Little Heartbreaker

Well, not that little, but surely she is a foxy lady! For your visual pleasure (even audio), here is a shooting inspired by the infamous Jimi Hendrix!!!

Now, I don't know if there's anything more to say...
The magazine? Vogue Spain (March edition).
The model? Anja Rubik

Yep, looking like a groupie has never been this fashionable! Plus, with the 70s trends in fashion, this look is sooo in! Soft and fragile on the outside and wild at heart! From: FASHIONconfectionairy

Yep, as soon as I saw Jeremy Scott's Fall Winter 11/12 Adidas Look Book Shoot, I had one thing to say: yummy! But now, if I think about it, we must add fun, funky, fresh! ;)

Vinyl Love

For the past week, the subject of "vinyls" just keeps popping in every conversation! Starting with a music festival somewhere near where I live, continuing the arriving of the Hero and finishing with me decorating a very important place.
As an individual I was known as the DJ or the mixer.
Grandmaster Flash
So, in order to celebrate this spooky coincidences, here are a few photos with old-school, cooler then cool celebrities and vinyls! In perfect order: Jimi Hendrix, Marilyn Monroe, Björk, Debbie Harry and Chris Stein, Jack Nicholson and Angelica Houston, Sophia Loren (uh...she always looks lovely), Audrey Hepburn, Elvis Presley and John Lennon.

It's true. There's a special experience in finding a vinyl record. The hunt, the digging it takes...and then, getting home and losing yourself in the music. The sound the needle makes when it touches the record...priceless! From: MC Winkles

Hi, I'm Sisilia.
Currently in Chicago, but Los Angeles will always be home.
And that's about all the personal information you'll need about photographer Sisilia Piring. From this point on, her art speaks by itself!

It's been a while now, ever since I saw images of this much honesty! Sisilia Piring ladies are true, raw, wild, beautiful, natural and at the same time...they just seem out of this world! The long hair and the naked shoulder, they bought tell a story!

Intimacy and private spaces. Us, the way we show ourselves in front of our loved ones!
I am fascinated about this images...
I understand the temptation of letting your guard down and just show it all...

Moving at Breakneck Speed

As you might know by now, this is the name of Ugly Duckling's new album! Andy Cooper, Dizzy Dustin and Young Einstein are coming out with a bang! It's so fresh and old school at the same time, that I can only love it!

Yep...yep...I am a fan (but I'm sure you already know that). That's why I couldn't help myself not sharing the images form their latest album-shooting. Why the nomad feel of the pictures? well...Andy Cooper explained it:
After so many years of being in the record business as an independent group, we’ve been with a million labels and licensing and so forth, that we’re kind of on the run. We’re always making our living touring and traveling. And we almost feel like were outlaws on the run from the music industry because we never play by anyone’s rules.
We do the music we want to do.
We sample.
We’ve never given much consideration to making music for our consumer.
We’ve always done what we feel is right.
Pufff...and it just sounds so so right! Hope you enjoy the new album and also the pictures! Yep, meet Ugly Duckling! ;)From: Overexposed and Out of Focus

A Perfect Fit

Fitting is essential when it comes to fashion. If the fit is not fantastic, the fabric, the cut...just don't matter anymore!

Why this subject? Well...this Saturday I'm going to a wedding. All good, except for the eternal question: what am I going to wear? a fashion designer and fashion lover, I have hundreds of dresses...but as usual, non of them worked!

So...before I surrendered and decided to make myself 2 new dresses, I visited the "old wedding dresses" sector in my closet. There I have dresses I used to wear when I was younger at weddings and different family events. Dresses I don't wear anymore, but I keep them anyway...just in case! ;) Anddd, to my surprise: they didn't fit anymore!!! Loose in the waist, too short, small in the shoulders...imagine my panic!

Who to call? Who knows best in situations like this?! MOM!!! Her answer to my problem: Sweetie...your body changed. Since then, you became a woman!

This is so true! Your body, especially if you are a girl/woman, will change (even if your weight will remain the same). You waist can go smaller and your hips wider, or simply grow taller! No matter what, your wardrobe must be fi for you body! This is essential!!!

If it doesn't fit, it's ugly anyway!!!

In the end, I made 2 dresses. This is one of them (for the day time). The one for the evening I'll probably show you in another post...later this week. :)) Images: theFword

False Perspective...

As Adam Savage from Mythbusters once said: I reject your reality and substitute my own! It's crazy hot outside and I'm sure the city is melting. The streets are cracking and the buildings are just falling apart. In all this mess, we try to live our normal every0day lives...does it work? For some yes, for some...

The heated air creates illusions...The white light of the sun gives birth the false perspectives. Nothing is real, except for the two of us! Scared? You should, this is a hot summer!

Sunday Summer Mornings...

Mixed-cereal toasted bread.
Fresh tomatoes.
Mozzarella or Brie cheese. (Or?!?!?!'s a summer Sunday morning, so I'll just have them bought!!!)
An over-sized espresso.
From 9am to almost 1pm -> in front of the laptop reading the fashion-news.

For me, this is perfect. How do you spend your Sunday Summer Mornings?

Panda Fashion

Who says they can't be cute and loveable?!?! Who am I talking about? Well, Karl Lagerfeld and Anna Wintour...because we all know Alber Elbaz is a sweetheart! ;))

Who is to blame for this? Well, it's all illustrator's Ben "Benda" Liu fault! And as far as I go...I'm happy he is "guilty" for this crime, because it's just so cute and funny! :))

And again, in my own style and words ->

Deep in the Underbelly

-a 2009 project four stories underneath the skin on New York
-a massive subway station unseen, unfinished for 100 years
-artists secretly escorted here for the past year
-one night to paint/create art
-the original entrance removed
-the station back in darkness
-the elusive pirate treasure of contemporary art!

If in New York, this is an exhibit you really don't want to miss. Just imagine 103 different artists, including both established and up and comers, all in one amazing place! Can't wait to see more! From: CULT/RIOT

Every Summer it's the same with me! The greatest feeling of them all. Nothing can compare with this. It's THE feeling!
To feel:
1.To perceive through the sense of touch
2.To perceive as a physical sensation
3.To touch
4.To examine by touching
5.To test or explore with caution
6.To undergo the experience of...
7.To be aware of; sense
8.To be emotionally affected by
9.To be persuaded of (something) on the basis of intuition, emotion, or other indefinite grounds
10.To believe; think
After a day in the sun, you feel the need of darkness. Your eyes hurt and your skin need to cool down. Darkness is a blessing and soft cotton sheets are like milk for you body. The pain is delicious. You feel more, by touching, by smelling everything around you.

You feel the need to stretch just like a cat. Sit in bed, or on the floor, or anywhere...and feel feeling feelings...

Point of View

There's something special about painting walls with a can of paint.
The black, white, silver and blue lines.
The fat caps and the slim caps.
Filling the contours!
Shaking the cans.
The visual, the noise, the smell...

A video showing you graffiti, from the artist's point of view. omsk167 controls the cans!

Internet Addictions no particular order! ;)))

We must thank Andrea Vascellari for this internet-vices illustrations! So, thank you!'s all true! Or, as my friends would say: it's funny because it's true!

Might as well face it: you, just like me, are addicted to the Internet and all it's fun fun fun! Social platforms, blogs, sites bla-bla-bla. I just don't know anymore. I just know I get intoxicated on them everyday and I don't wanna stop!

Is it bad for me? It sure is!
Should I just stop? Nope...maybe longer brakes!

It's the era of communication! The internet made it...and maybe the internet will end it!..actually, I'm pretty sure that's how it will happen.
But until then, enjoy and have a laugh! ;)From: InspireFirst
