on Instagram

Well, being the weekend and with nothing to do (by the way 'Happy Holidays' to all of you out there celebrating Easter) I thought I should activate the stoker mode in all of you :))

What else to do on a rainy day?!
Right?
What better way to spend it, then watching what all your friends did last night, where did they go, how drunk did the get and even if they kissed anybody. Uh...admit it! You want to know (even more if you are a girl...)!!!

So, here you can find me: ArinaVarga on Instagram aka. Proud Owner of theFword.
This is my life.
You'll see it's actually pretty normal (or so I like to think). Lost of photos with friends, with my work, mu loved ones and all sorts of quirky things I come across.
Like this blog, it's not necessarily about something.
It's just me and what I see!

Now, be sure to respond so I can stoke you too!
Yes, yes...the internet is a wonderful thing :))) I joke, I joke! But really know, I would love to know more about you!
kisses!

J'amais, by Rada Ureche

By now, those of you that fallow my activity, know about my collaboration with Rada Ureche, the designer behind the jewellery brand J'amais. We've worked together on 2 collection (Missy Messy Roots and Read Between the Lines) and now we are preparing the third one!

I can only say 2 things about all this: I love working with her and I love her work. And I think that summons it all up. Don't you agree? Below you can see some of her work, but for more, be sure to check out the J'amais site. Believe me, you're going to fall in love with loads of stuff!
My favorite pieces? A necklace, the shoulder chain (looove it! Such a bad-ass piece!) + a few pairs of earring and much much more! I'm an addict when it comes to her work :)))

But I should stop here and let you see for yourself. As a final note: the prices are more the flattering! ;)

Detroit Lost Dreams

Today I wanted to talk about something else...but I came across some pictures with abandoned places and I just couldn't resist showing them to you.

I admit. I have an obsession with places like this.
Abandon places.
Urban abandon places!

And when talking about this subject, there's no better example then Detroit. Well...I want to visit Detroit. To see all the beauty, to listen to the silence of places once filled with noise and activity. Places that even long after being populated, still tell a beautiful story.
As the industrial revolution came to a close and race riots crippled a once bustling city, many buildings throughout Detroit fell into disrepair and eventual abandonment.
Pretty sad. And believe me when I tell you, I just can't imagine why would anyone abandon such beautiful places. Well...I'm not stupid, I understand why...but who knows, maybe in the years to come, that area of Detroit will be popular once again!
Hope...as I said it so many times...HOPE is the only thing that remains.
When lost...there's simply nothing left.

Fashion Quotes - Karl Lagerfeld

"Guilty feelings about clothes are totally unnecessary. A lot of people earn their living by making clothes, so you should never feel bad."
— Karl Lagerfeld

"I want everyone to wear what they want and mix it in their own way. That, to me, is what is modern."
— Karl Lagerfeld

"We need houses as we need clothes, architecture stimulates fashion. It’s like hunger and thirst — you need them both."
— Karl Lagerfeld

"Never use the word “cheap”. Today everybody can look chic in inexpensive clothes (the rich buy them too). There is good clothing design on every level today. You can be the chicest thing in the world in a T-shirt and jeans — it’s up to you."
— Karl Lagerfeld

Read Between the Lines

As it is in life...

Not all is black or white.
Not everything is made from perfect lines.

There is perfection in intended imperfections. And to see this beauty, one must learn to read between the lines, to see things beyond the simple shapes, to learn that there's more then what the eye can gather!
