JC/DC LOVE

If you look at all my Jean-Charles de Castelbajac related post, you'll see that I'm crazy about him and his work. No no no...Not funny crazy. But CRAZY in love!!! :)))

That's why this weekend I got my heart broken when I saw him wearing this JC/DC watch!!! Grrrr! I'm all green with envy, believe me! And why not? I am the one who has a special relation with Jean-Charles de Castelbajac! I should be the owner of that watch! :)))

Crazy talk aside, I really like it! And as soon as I saw it, I know shearing was a must. Also, I think the combination with Chuck Palahniuk is a win. The 2 of them go really well together! (as far as I'm concerned)Images: theFword

Meet Robert Bradford!

And also meet his amazing work! :))

The life-size sculptures are made from recycled plastic parts (most of them old toys) only to show that a second life is possible! Robert Bradford managed to create fantastic, even dreamy pieces that make you think twice about the things you are trowing away!

In 2002, he started to consider the possibilities that his children’s forgotten toys could be part of something bigger. Bradford says he likes the idea that the plastic pieces have a history, some unknown past, and that they also pass on a “cultural” history as each of the pieces represents a point in time.

I did a very short visit today and saw some cool stuff (I especially love the works of FB Ronnie). She showed some great accessories made from the inner mechanics oh watches. Nice and industrial!

I Must B Getting Old...

For a few days now, everything has been surreal!

The light, the Sun, the snow. The night, the leather skirt (that I've been dreaming about forever), the tattooed hand, the boots, my mom's "wild days" t-shirt (with the print that Mango re-used a few years ago). Shots, colored drinks, laughter...
...another long KENT.
And then it starts again. Noise, phone ringing, the L.O.V.E
It's all about the L.O.V.E !

Confusion. I am but a witness to it all. Can't feel it like I used to.
I must be getting old...

I just wanna sit back, on the couch
stress free
and make it a Blockbuster night...

Stussy SS 2011

A lot of "S"s in this post:)) But that's what happened when you write about Stussy (in this case, their Spring 2011 collection).

For me, Stussy is more then just another brand. It's a personal, very dear to my heart brand. What can I say?! Again, it's all about the L.O.V.E no matter what! So if on the way, I see some painful memories, I just fall in love with them all over again! :)

For this season, the 31 year-old brand, decided to see the world trough RJ Shaughnessy lenses! A perfect choice! The old-school feeling of the shoot, the gang-like attitude of the models, the mad feeling of it all, is simply Stussy! Young and wild and...a little confused. But that's what being young is all about!

Meet Dinu Bodiciu!

This is the story: I know Dinu Bodiciu for a while now. We've met a few years ago, at My Grandma's Backyard Fashion Fair, in Bucharest. He was there to show his hand-made book covers, I was there with my stuff.
He had me at "hello!", or when he offered me a place to sit, or when I saw his work...I'm not sure anymore! :))) Even so, I'm sure he doesn't remember me.

Well, now it's time for you to meet Dinu Bodiciu!!! I know you'll become a fan (if you are not one yet)! Because of his latest collection (and a super-duper collaboration) he is the person-of-the-month (in my book). Here is the story of what happened, a fragment from an interview and a few images with his collection:

On the 16th of February this year, Oana Zidaru (from Celebrities Checked Out) posted this article about Lady Gaga's outfit of choice for Valentine's Day! Well, YES! She went for a Dinu Bodiciu outfit!!!!!

I really love his collection! I really really do! But I think I see it in a different whey. I see it soft, and cozy, and innocent! Confusion in the mirror. Lies in the mirror...a different, strange reality that I'm crazy about! :)

[...]The collection started with the concept of mirroring, actually from the way we start to understand our own body when we look in the mirror. Because the image in the mirror is not an exact copy of reality (it loses the body's 3D element), that's why the attention falls on the body parts right in front of us.
I tried to create a collection that concentrates all the front details of the coat (shoulders, colors, sleeves), leaving the back-part completely blank [...]
