Oh, this is my absolute favorite fashion show of all time! And the only man that could pull it off, was Karl Lagerfeld!
Yes, on a Friday (October 19, 2007), exactly at midnight, the Great Designer, turned the Great Wall into the Great Runway! Everybody had something to say about this subject and they still are debating it (whether it is/it isn't ok to transform this true world wonder into a runway).
When asked why this location for the Fendi fashion show, Karl simply said: "They don't use it for defense anymore, so we just show it in it's true purpose: as a runway." Couldn't agree more!
