Another Day...

...more events!

Oh, the month of December is one of the hardest and most beautiful ones. So much work to do, so many clients, plus other events (tv shows, radio shows, shootings and so on). But I'm not complaining! Love it!!!

Today I was on the set on a tv morning show, right here in Arad. Together with me were Ioana Predescu (make-up artist) and Bianca Pilan (hair stylist) and we talked about outfits, hairstyles and make-up for special events, like the up-coming New Year Party! Yuu-huuu!

So, what do we think it's hot right now? Well, we all agreed that girls should take into consideration where the event takes place. Other then that, they can start building an outfit starting from the hair, the make-up, the shoes, the jewellery or (as we often do) the dress/outfit.

My advice:
Wear something crazy!
Something you wanted to wear all year long, but didn't really had the opportunity to. Now it's the perfect time to do it!
+remember to kiss a man at midnight! ;)))

This is what I wore today!
the blouse: Missy Messy Roots a/w Collection
the skirt: I made from the leftover fabric from my loved one everyday jacket (I'll show you ass soon as he lets me take some pictures of him wearing it)
the necklace: is from Jamais by Rada Ureche.

That's about it for today! Kisses!
*sorry about the blurry face...I just didn't have time for more photos.

...I spend my time,
drinking wine,
feeling fine,
playing games,
meeting with friends...I'm going crazy here. It might be the Christmas spirit as they call it, but really now, I'm not feeling it this year! Eh, c'est la vie! It's not like I'm sad or something, but I'm not yet in that jolly-good-spirit. There's still hope!

So, here is my life in Instagram, yes yes...I have one too. But who doesn't?!
* you can find me under the name #fashionissupposedtobefun (yes yes...it's horrible, I know. Too late now to change it)

Absolutely Fabulous - X-mas Edition

Yes, the weekend that just went by, was an Absolutely Fabulous one! I told you all about it on facebook but didn't had the time to chat about it here.
But most of you came to see me and I was sooo happy with your surprise! :***

Sadly I don't have many images (yes yes, I'm getting old and lazy) so I'm using the ones that Fabian Tatomirescu took. Also, the few ones I took, here! I promise next time to put more effort into all this. ;))

Well, beside the fact that I was crazy tired and cold, it was great! I got to meet a few new and talented designers, I chatted with the older ones that I get to see so rarely and (my favorite part) I got to meet with my clients! Oh, love them all so so much because they are (BELIEVE ME) adorable!

Home, it snowed a lot. So, winter is here, Christmas is almost here and the deadline to all those holiday dresses is getting closer! So, back to work! :***And an image with the two of us, tired and hungry:

Work & Health & Fashion

yeah, 3 things that don't really work in a great manner.
Well, I guess because 'fashion' is considering it's self the most important thing ever and simply consumes your health, trough work.

In my mind, I am making perfect sens!

For the past few months we've all been working really hard (here at Atelier Arina Varga). And hard work means little time to take care of the health. One of us felt a little sick yesterday (luckily she's all better now) and that got me thinking about the awful things I am putting my body trough, for the sake of a dress (maybe).

But it's all good! I have someone to take care of me, bringing me tea (that I hate, but know it's actually good for me), a person that bugs me about taking my vitamins and that is simply the rock I need to go on. Happy hard days! Got to love them!

So, take care of yourselves and work hard!

It Was December 1st

In other words, Romania's National Day!
Romania, the country I'm from.

Anyways, to celebrate I got my friend Daniel Cepanariu (a very cool architect and also a passionate photographer) to take a picture of me mimicking Rosie the Riveter, with a few changes.

I wanted it to represent my ambitions and my pride. I am proud to be a Romanian designer and I believe that we (me and my friends and colleagues) CAN do it!
Yes, it's a lot harder here, but I pretty sure that it's just a different type of 'hard'. One is going to find difficulty anywhere in the world if they choose to focus on it!

So, here it is (hope you like it):

Missy Messy Roots - the Story

We Hip&
We Hop&
We don't Stop!
Designer: Arina Varga
Photographer: Bogdan Iorgovan
Jewellery: J'amais by Rada Ureche
Model: Ioana Filimon
Make-up: Monica Popmark
Hairstyle: Bianca Pilan
This is it. The atmosphere photos for my latest collection. Hope you like them, because we simply love them! Yeah, all mothers love their babies, right?
Lately I seem to be very inspired by music and by the things that let's say 'moved' my younger years. That's why she's 'Roots'. We are taking it back to the roots, to our base, to what made us what we are today!
