Yes, Yes, West Side!!!

I come from Arad, in the west part of Romania. The fact that at this past edition of My Grandma's Backyard came so many of my personal friends from Timisoara (also in the west), as a great opportunity to take a family photo.

From left to right: Rodica Golban, Oana Peperigeanu (bought of them from Atelier M12), Adelina (Special Stuff for Special People), Arina Varga (Fashion Is Supposed to he Fun), Diana Bobar (So Fashon) and Florina (Josephine).

MGB 8th Edition!!! Fun! Fun! Fun!

So, I just got home and had to share with you pictures from the 8th edition of My Grandma's Backyard. Just because it was so much fun and there were so many interesting, fun, sunny people.

Let me start with something sweet, eatable ( Cupcakes - that I thought were candles at first). A little deliciously present from Diana Enciu (why, by the way, is very very nice and adorable).
I hope to see as soon as possible more of her Cup Cake work! Go Diana, Go!Plus, fun accessories from Acarete
Also, present there was Dinu Bodiciu (book manufacturer), that I found out is actually from Timisoara and went at the same University that I did (yes yes, West side!!!). His work is great. Thanks to him for helping me with my stand.
I saw Adelina (that makes special stuff for special people) together with a big fan, Luca. Bought of them were looking very cute!
Two artist that I know were also there (Oana Peperigeanu and Rodica Golben), in other words Atelier M12. The girls came at this event for the first time and I wish them all the luck. Also from Timisoara, so again: yes, yes, West Side!!!
Plus many others, including Dana Coteanu, Diana Bobar, Florina form Josephine, Coca Zaboloteanu, plus, your truly, Arina Varga!
In the end, a big THANK YOU to Gabriela-Maria Vlad, for making My Grandma's Backyard possible!

Crayon Rings

I am truly obsessed with crazy accessories! And a crayon ring is just what I like (especially because my little purse is full of crayons). This way, it will be much easier and practical: fun colors on my fingers, waiting for me to color the world:)

Draw It Yourself!

Well...I've been think about something like this for a while now. So you can imagine my disappointment when I saw it already existed! But still, I love it!

I love the fact that by coloring your dress, the feeling is much more personal! It's really your dress! It's what you like, the way you like it.

A great idea, I agree!

Berber Soepboer approached Michiel Schuurman in August 2008 to design the textile for a series of dresses. The COLOURING & the ASSEMBLY dresses were shown on the 7th of September in Bergeick in 'De Ploeg', a very famous textile factory. Although Michiel spent a lot of time to design over a 100 patterns and Berber worked around the clock to get the sewing and the hundreds of buttons done, the result proves the chemistry between them. From: Yatzer

I am the Mad Hatter!

Yep...my latest obsession: The Mad Hatter, Alice in Wonderland. But not Alice...I love the Wonderland, I love the Flamingos, I love the Cheshire Cat and I especially love the White Rabbit!

It's an enchanting world, that I'm sure is real:) So, remember! If you're coming to My Grandma's Backyard, I'll be the designer lost is Wonderland:)

The 8th edition of My Grandma's Backyard will be taking place on the 12th of April, in Bucharest (club Embassy). I'll be there with some new stuff that I won't show you on this blog (sorry, I want you all to be there).

Come for a chat, a cup o tea, a cookie...or whatever please your taste! I'll be The Mad Hatter. Sounds crazy? Well...I'm in an Alice in Wonderland mood, so just connect that with the tea and you'll get the picture!:)

I go CU-CU for Iris Apfel

This granny sure knows how to rock! I just love her crazy style: so many colors, so many shapes! Iris, you are a lesson to be learned (I know it sounds strange, but her style and her attitude can be an example of free will to all of us).
I won't start talking too much about her, because I'm sure that if you don't already know her, you'll start researching! Because she is just too interesting to resist!

Plus, isn't Iris Apfel fun??From: WorldToChina

Aprils Fools

Well, as a true believer in Fashion is Supposed to be Fun, on the first of April, I give you Nick Cave. A true fashion artist, a true professional when it comes to fabric study, a supporter of colors! Look, admire and fall in love. From: Acidolatte
