Animal Print Obsessions...

Well...when it comes to prints and colors I have a lot of them...but I guess you got used to all this. :D

Yep, the animal print! You didn't expect that! Or did you?
I absolutely love this print. Now, there are a few rules when it comes to wearing such a loud type of print (keep in mind, all animal prints follow the same rules: leopard, zebra, snake skin etc. etc.) They are big, wild and in your face. So, pay attention!

1. find how much of a animal print (or even simply print) person are you. Me, even if I like it a lot, I usually wear it on my accessories. Like shoes, belts, scarfs...but mostly shoes. Yep, more then 10 pairs in animal print and still counting.

2. be sure to get a quality animal print. The more realistic, the better. I'm telling you this because I'm against real fur or skin! No need for pain and suffrage, when it comes to our style, right?

3. at some point you might decided to buy a piece of clothing in full animal print. My advice is to wear it with almost nothing (meaning: nude, neutral, basic pieces. So that IT will stand out as it should)

4. remember: the animal print is almost as eternal as the little black dress. You just have to know 'how it's trendy to wear it': in the details, full, neon etc. The styles are endless...

5. for the courageous ones! The animal print looks fantastic when mixed with other prints. Yep, I'm talking about the print-mix, that (when done correct) looks absolutely fantastic! My favorite!!! So. For this, I recommend the zebra print (being monochrome, it is the easiest one to mic with other prints). So, add a detail in full strong color and a detail in a completely different colors and type (if a print is in lines, the other one will look fantastic if it has rounded shapes). You get it!

For more inspiration, take a look at the examples below. I used 3 dresses made by me form the Missy Messy Roots collection and the Entitles Bully collection.
The rules are the same for when wearing pants, or skirts. I just used dresses as an example, because it is a more simple presentation :). Remember: Like in all fashion, less is more when it comes to animal print. But sometimes...more is simply more and better!
It all depends on how you fell, your personality and your style. Don't ignore them!!!

Who's Afraid of the HOT Pink?

Don't you dare say something!!!
I love pink! Even more, I love fuchsia!

Everybody is talking about this Summers trend, regarding this color. The IT color! You can read a pretty interesting article on the Thrill of the Heel blog. Anyways, yes people. This Summer we will live la vie en rose!...and I don't mind!

Now, don't panic and keep in mind that this color doesn't have to necessarily mean cut and girly. It can mean punk, it can mean rock and believe me, it can be a bad-ass color if you want it to be. All that pink or fuchsia do is put you in the spot light! So, be careful how you use them :)

If you don't really feel like wearing a full pink outfit (and, between you and me...that's pretty hard to pull of->BUT NOT IMPOSSIBLE!), you can simply make the details of your outfit pink. Like a scarf in the hair, or a pair of cute stilettos. You know the drill!

All I really want is make you all accept pink for what it is!
It's not the mellow, scared, boring color most people think! Pink, for me, is POWER!

Now, enjoy Mia Wasikowska in a little/short pink story.

Read Between the Lines

As it is in life...

Not all is black or white.
Not everything is made from perfect lines.

There is perfection in intended imperfections. And to see this beauty, one must learn to read between the lines, to see things beyond the simple shapes, to learn that there's more then what the eye can gather!

Another Day...

...more events!

Oh, the month of December is one of the hardest and most beautiful ones. So much work to do, so many clients, plus other events (tv shows, radio shows, shootings and so on). But I'm not complaining! Love it!!!

Today I was on the set on a tv morning show, right here in Arad. Together with me were Ioana Predescu (make-up artist) and Bianca Pilan (hair stylist) and we talked about outfits, hairstyles and make-up for special events, like the up-coming New Year Party! Yuu-huuu!

So, what do we think it's hot right now? Well, we all agreed that girls should take into consideration where the event takes place. Other then that, they can start building an outfit starting from the hair, the make-up, the shoes, the jewellery or (as we often do) the dress/outfit.

My advice:
Wear something crazy!
Something you wanted to wear all year long, but didn't really had the opportunity to. Now it's the perfect time to do it!
+remember to kiss a man at midnight! ;)))

This is what I wore today!
the blouse: Missy Messy Roots a/w Collection
the skirt: I made from the leftover fabric from my loved one everyday jacket (I'll show you ass soon as he lets me take some pictures of him wearing it)
the necklace: is from Jamais by Rada Ureche.

That's about it for today! Kisses!
*sorry about the blurry face...I just didn't have time for more photos.

Missy Messy Roots - the Story

There comes a time in every woman's life when she has to step into adulthood. But a true woman will never do that by forgetting her roots, by forgetting the very things that made her what she is today.
'Miss Messy Roots' is the woman that will walk with pride and confidence, feeling the beat of the city on every corner, smiling as she sees breakers breaking moves, getting inspired by graffiti covered walls. She steps into the future, without letting the past behind.
Her past is her future

Spring-Summer 2011 - Frashion Trends

For HER and for HIM!!!
Now, I don't really enjoy doing this at the beginning (middle...whatever) of the cold season. But knowing next seasons trends might help you be a smart shopper. So, I guess I'm doing this for the good of humanity ;)))

Right...
;)) Just because we (professional fashinoistas) all need to know them. We shop smart and cool and this...this is going to make our job way easier! Here you go! Enjoy next season's trends:

New Edge
In New Edge, we represent a strong desire for modern shapes that we would like to be pure yet sensual. This modern outlook offers a radically simple, minimal aesthetics found appealing once again, updating an idea of classicism and timelessness. Between a search for original purity and the redefinition of shapes, we identify the contours of a new frame of reference. Highly stylized, shapes and lines are defiantly structured or erased to leave room for a comfortable ergonomic with generous, enveloping, air-conditioned fullness. We draw strength from the desert, a fascination for expanses without borders and opt for timeless eroded denim and sediment-like fabric effects.
Soft Alternative
Start dreaming of a more gentle connection with time, of a return to a more authentic existence. Between pragmatic realism - a better quality of life, sustainable and local consumption - and fantasized idealism - the dream of a simple and fair life, of authentic values ... Enchanted euthenics offers a continuation of the slow movement, but has a more elaborate and richer artisan edge. It is a celebration of generosity, gentleness, richness and consistency and a desire to rediscover a refined, long-forgotten savoir-faire and seek graceful sensuality with old-fashioned charm. Compose a refreshing romanticism, without naiveté. Like a wistful collector, list the outfits of forgotten trades and crafts or prefer endearing and dainted touches for an enchanting bucolic mood.
Technicolor Summer
This is a call for pure relaxation, cheerfulness and vacationing : a joyous escape from everyday life. Take up the colors of summer and the codes of seductiveness and give them a joyful spin, without fear of being over the top. We play Summer clichés «to the hilt» between jet-set opulence sultry seduction and impetuous glamour of the Happy Hour. Or opt for a California cool, coloring the preppy look with show-off humor, and playing with beachwear and American casualwear to concoct a smart relaxed look. Summer once again has a mythical attraction !
Urban Jungle
A sign of the times, Urban Jungle reflects the need for a strong, daring, imposing, confident attitude to better integrate and confront the intense, everyday life of the city. Effervescence, high performance, hectic rhythms and survival of the fittest ...To evolve everyday in urban environments which slowly mutate into urban jungles, we take inspiration from the fantastic, primitive forest: intense and wild, it symbolizes a thirst for survival and revives a dynamic, energizing primal force. Prints mimic and explore a rich Equatorial wildlife in luxurious camouflages or take inspiration and graphic strength from indigenous traditions. From: Fashion Trendsetter

Feel...

Every Summer it's the same with me! The greatest feeling of them all. Nothing can compare with this. It's THE feeling!
To feel:
1.To perceive through the sense of touch
2.To perceive as a physical sensation
3.To touch
4.To examine by touching
5.To test or explore with caution
6.To undergo the experience of...
7.To be aware of; sense
8.To be emotionally affected by
9.To be persuaded of (something) on the basis of intuition, emotion, or other indefinite grounds
10.To believe; think
After a day in the sun, you feel the need of darkness. Your eyes hurt and your skin need to cool down. Darkness is a blessing and soft cotton sheets are like milk for you body. The pain is delicious. You feel more, by touching, by smelling everything around you.

You feel the need to stretch just like a cat. Sit in bed, or on the floor, or anywhere...and feel feeling feelings...
