This Is The Men

This shoot reminds me of a rather old French Connection collection video. Do you remember it? It was called This is the Men (and This is the Women - for the lady's collection).

Yep...this is THE men!
Strong, ragged, peaceful, a worrier...an artist, a thinker, a philosopher, an appreciator of arts. He has strong believes and believes in himself! He will always be a gentlemen and an animal (when he has to...if you know what I mean). Athletic and elegant, wise and with a great sens of humor. He laughs with all his heart and cries for within his soul...

This is the men. Is he?
Uh...is he real? He might just be. Because a real men, is ...well, real! You learn to love all the good things and the bad things about him. Because all of them, make him the men he is!

It Is a Man's World

For a while now I've been telling everybody I want to start making man clothing! And for a while, I just didn't do anything in that direction. But things and times change and here we are, with out first man dedicated product!

It's a classic trench. Simple, but at the same time perfect (because it will just fit like a glove in your wardrobe)! It is also practical, with the pockets and everything.
Now, you can have it transformed for cold weather (adding layers on the inside) but this model is the simple version. Also, you can change the pattern on the inside, according to your own style and taste (natural silk)!

Hope you will enjoy and love it!

Fabric: cotton with texture and natural silk on the inside (it can be changed)
Color: beige (it can be changed)
Size: only orders (S/M/L/XL)
Price: 500 RON

Spring-Summer 2011 - Frashion Trends

For HER and for HIM!!!
Now, I don't really enjoy doing this at the beginning (middle...whatever) of the cold season. But knowing next seasons trends might help you be a smart shopper. So, I guess I'm doing this for the good of humanity ;)))

Right...
;)) Just because we (professional fashinoistas) all need to know them. We shop smart and cool and this...this is going to make our job way easier! Here you go! Enjoy next season's trends:

New Edge
In New Edge, we represent a strong desire for modern shapes that we would like to be pure yet sensual. This modern outlook offers a radically simple, minimal aesthetics found appealing once again, updating an idea of classicism and timelessness. Between a search for original purity and the redefinition of shapes, we identify the contours of a new frame of reference. Highly stylized, shapes and lines are defiantly structured or erased to leave room for a comfortable ergonomic with generous, enveloping, air-conditioned fullness. We draw strength from the desert, a fascination for expanses without borders and opt for timeless eroded denim and sediment-like fabric effects.
Soft Alternative
Start dreaming of a more gentle connection with time, of a return to a more authentic existence. Between pragmatic realism - a better quality of life, sustainable and local consumption - and fantasized idealism - the dream of a simple and fair life, of authentic values ... Enchanted euthenics offers a continuation of the slow movement, but has a more elaborate and richer artisan edge. It is a celebration of generosity, gentleness, richness and consistency and a desire to rediscover a refined, long-forgotten savoir-faire and seek graceful sensuality with old-fashioned charm. Compose a refreshing romanticism, without naiveté. Like a wistful collector, list the outfits of forgotten trades and crafts or prefer endearing and dainted touches for an enchanting bucolic mood.
Technicolor Summer
This is a call for pure relaxation, cheerfulness and vacationing : a joyous escape from everyday life. Take up the colors of summer and the codes of seductiveness and give them a joyful spin, without fear of being over the top. We play Summer clichés «to the hilt» between jet-set opulence sultry seduction and impetuous glamour of the Happy Hour. Or opt for a California cool, coloring the preppy look with show-off humor, and playing with beachwear and American casualwear to concoct a smart relaxed look. Summer once again has a mythical attraction !
Urban Jungle
A sign of the times, Urban Jungle reflects the need for a strong, daring, imposing, confident attitude to better integrate and confront the intense, everyday life of the city. Effervescence, high performance, hectic rhythms and survival of the fittest ...To evolve everyday in urban environments which slowly mutate into urban jungles, we take inspiration from the fantastic, primitive forest: intense and wild, it symbolizes a thirst for survival and revives a dynamic, energizing primal force. Prints mimic and explore a rich Equatorial wildlife in luxurious camouflages or take inspiration and graphic strength from indigenous traditions. From: Fashion Trendsetter

Them About Them...

At first I wanted to write "Boys About Girl"...
But then again, when you see Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin, you just don't think about boys. "Man about Woman"?...sound too grownup!

It's going to be an endless conversation...monolog...whatever. I just like this duo and I'm going to listen to it all weekend (starting with Friday, of course). Have a lovely weekend and be sure to make it last forever!Pufff...man!
Do they still make them like these 2?

Fashion History in an Image 9

The photo is of South African golfer Gary Player, who wore these pants at the 1960 Open Championship to show his support for ending apartheid. Player stated the pants were ‘a quiet protest, of bringing white and black together".
Power to the people! See! Fashion can be a statement, of more then your personal style...

Miami Vintage Vice...

Sometimes, I dream of running away. Don't you? Don't you wish to runway? To a retro past, with fantastic, colorful clothes in your suitcase and that special someone next to you?

How about Miami? Old-school, retro Miami! For this summer, it looks like the perfect destination. And if I get really up-set, trust me I'll just take a trip there! Why? Because I went there a few years ago...and I know that sometime, in certain places, the light is soft, just like in the pictures here.

But, before I start dreaming about holidays...STOP! and back to work! Yes...hammer time! :))) Even so, this photo shoot is dreamy... ;)

Fashion History in a (few) Images

Today's style inspiration is Bob Dylan.
Singer, songwriter, poet, painter and...style icon!

Yes, here it doesn't matter if you like his music or not (even tough he is one of the biggest names in music...). Here it's all about the look!

And Bob Dylan has that look that will inspire for years and years... With a slim figure and frizzy hair, it is impossible not to recognize him! He had the look of a free spirit, fighting for a cause...and that is just sooo sexy! :))

Yep...it's all about the rebels, the ones fighting the system. The ones with crazy-big hair, cool and a little freaky clothes, the ones with sunglasses ...the ones that are always against the wind! From: Everyday I Show

Doctor WHO?

Why am I writing about this?
Well...I'm answering to this question just in case some of you are shocked by my decision of posting about the Dr.Who t-shirt costumes! :)) Because I am a geek, because I love Dr.Who and ... just because this is sooo funny! :)))

Now please, take a few seconds and admire:;)))I just can't stop laughing!
Here is what the boys from Geek Alerts (aka.Heaven) had to say about them:
Most geeks love t-shirts, preferring comfort over style. Some even choose to wear a Tuxedo T-Shirt to black tie events. Now with these Doctor Who T-Shirt Costumes, you can make a fashion statement and still be completely comfortable.
Perfection I tell you! Comfort! Fashion! Fun! :))) So, there's no time to waist! Get your own (or just get all of them) from ForbiddenPlanet, at prices between £15.99 and £16.99!

We'll end with a word from Doctor Who: One day I shall come back. Yes, I shall come back. Until then, there must be no regrets, no tears, no anxieties. Just go forward in all your beliefs, and prove to me that I am not mistaken in mine. Goodbye. (from: The Dalek Invasion of Earth)

For a Californian Summer

That means a wild, no worries, cool and relaxed summer!
And we must thank The Hundreds for offering the outfits!

Here we featured the atmosphere images, but you can go on the site to see the summer 2011 collection. It's for boys, it's for girls...it's for you legs, shoulders, arms, head and eyes...basically, they got your back! (in this case body, covered)
The entire collection just screams The Hundreds! The brands Californian roots are truly strong!

With summer closer and closer, I'm sure you're all thinking about some fun at the sea/ocean/lake...some fun in the sun! From: Hypebeast

Let's Take a Ride!

And not just any ride! But one in a baby-blue Cadillac, with beige leather interior and white tiers!

I had the most wonderful weekend. Relaxing, window shopping, spa treatments, wine and many other sweet and adorable things (plus sleep, sleep and some more sleep), all at Gyula (in Hungary), with Little Red! ;) After all said and done, we decided to go exploring and came across a flea market.

Now, I'm not one to go crazy about flea markets, but there was something that just screamed: TAKE PHOTOS OF ME!!! Yes! The most amazing Cadillac that I've ever seen live in my life!
Ever since I saw it, I just keep dreaming about cruising down a huge boulevard, all covered in neon lights!

Pufff...can one fall in love with a car???...Images: theFword
