Fashion Quotes - Karl Lagerfeld

"Guilty feelings about clothes are totally unnecessary. A lot of people earn their living by making clothes, so you should never feel bad."
— Karl Lagerfeld

"I want everyone to wear what they want and mix it in their own way. That, to me, is what is modern."
— Karl Lagerfeld

"We need houses as we need clothes, architecture stimulates fashion. It’s like hunger and thirst — you need them both."
— Karl Lagerfeld

"Never use the word “cheap”. Today everybody can look chic in inexpensive clothes (the rich buy them too). There is good clothing design on every level today. You can be the chicest thing in the world in a T-shirt and jeans — it’s up to you."
— Karl Lagerfeld

Panda Fashion

Who says they can't be cute and loveable?!?! Who am I talking about? Well, Karl Lagerfeld and Anna Wintour...because we all know Alber Elbaz is a sweetheart! ;))

Who is to blame for this? Well, it's all illustrator's Ben "Benda" Liu fault! And as far as I go...I'm happy he is "guilty" for this crime, because it's just so cute and funny! :))

And again, in my own style and words ->

Make it Work!

Here we go! Here we go!
Back to life, back to reality!

Puff...this was a surreal weekend. I'm not even sure most of the stuff even happened. Wedding dresses, new friends, old friends, a little sick, Frankie, fabrics, new orders, Arad is such a small city, Timisoara is bigger and closer, summer is here, the heat is too much, the sun is to high...

...0 work this weekend. That means double the trouble this week! I will have to work harder, longer, faster. Even so, I'm so happy to report that finally a decision has been made! Yuu-huuu! In about a month you'll see what I'm foolishly talking about (and you'll LOVE it)!

Now, let's start the week with a bang!
Keep in mind Karl Lagerfeld's words:
My thing is to work more then the others...
...to show them how useless they are!
Pufff...you gotta love him! :)) Ok guys, have a super-duper week!!! Kisses!

Have a Coke! DIET!

I want one!...and I really hate Coke! But I want to be seen holding one of those adorable bottles! Plss!

And who better to shoot the fantastic trio (Coco Rocha, Jeneil Williams and Heidi Mount)? Non other then Karl Lagerfeld, also the one responsible for the design of the bottles!
Sugar-bubble-pop!
It just looks delicious!

Now, you can find out more about the concept behind the design for the new Diet Coke and about the shooting, from the video at the end of the post!
The story behind it is very clear and clever! Enjoy! From: Just Angelina, hypebeast

Karl. The Apartment. A Shooting

This little photo-set exist thanks to fashion photographer Piotr Stoklosa, who was able to shoot Karl Lagerfeld, in his studio in Paris. The occasion? An interview by Joanna Przetakiewicz for noted polish fashion magazine VIVA!

I guess most of you know that I have a little obsession with this stunning apartment, in Paris' Saint Germain area...I just love it and I just love seeing images of it! Such a perfect place for a shooting, don't you think? Simply...such a perfect place!

The gold Bob is outfitted in Karl Style. Isn't him looking just like a mini-me Karl? So cute with the gloves and the shades and everything! Love it!!!:)

Fashion in a Disney World

How would the fashion world look like if the designers were all Disney characters? Well, Elle Spain offered the visual answer, with drawings by Ulrich Schröder.

Too much fun! I mostly love Karl, who is (of course) the BIG BAD WOLF! Can't wait for more cartoon-inspired designers to pop-up! Because they are so big, they truly are characters!

Karl, Dior, Photos, Ads

Karl Lagerfeld proved in this ad photo shoot for Dior, that the perfect outfit is black pants, or jeans, combined with a white t-shirt or shirt. Simple, but very well made, the Dior collection seems to be designed for the on the run man, looking casual, relaxed and especially charming! Karl's presence is well sensed in the photos.
He proves that he is just as good as a photographer as he is a designer with this new Dior Homme by Kris Van Assche Spring Summer 2009 ad campaign that he lensed. So...I don't know what I like more: Karl, Dior, the photos, the design or the model...or maybe all?Yep!

You couldn't get it for Christmas and you won't have it for the New Year's Party, but you'll have to have it: The Lagerfeld, McQueen and Galliano t-shirt!
It's dropping in March 2009 for $45 on DarkhorseWorld!!! Be sure to remember!

Isn't it just too cute for reality?..with a bit of sarcastic humor, just to make things fun! Since I found it I can't stop looking at it! That's why (plus the fact that I didn't get my hands on the Urban Outfitters Lagerfeld T-shirt) I'm sure to book the 1st of March for this one!

Karl's Music Travels in Style!

Louis Vuitton created this special, one of a kind trunk, for Karl Lagerfeld so that he can have somewhere to put all his iPods when traveling. Yep, the iPod cases aren't chic enough for the German fashion designer!
But no worries, now everything is OK! The trunk is made from fine custom-made Taiga leather, has a drawer for 20 iPods, an area for JBL speakers and a matching sub woofer. Price tag was reported to be about £10,000.
Only one question: why 20 iPods?????

Bring Me The Money!

Yes, the Chanel circle is complete! Now, when you'll pay for your fabulous dress, or bag or whatever with a CC logo, you'll use the Monnalie de Paris(The French Mint) coin, representing Coco Chanel!
So, if you want some Coco money, you need to pay 7,440 US dollars (yes...more money).
What else? Oh, yep...Karl keeps it extra cool...as always!

How to Become a Famous Fashion Designer!

Well, the easiest way is to copy them...100%! Yes, you'll have to look like them, walk like them, act like them! Why not? Then, all you'll have to do is take their place (but you;ll have to figure out on your own how to do that).

At The Top!!!

While googeling Halloween plus fashion, I came upon this:
Now, I'm not a big Roberto Cavalli fan, but with this costume...RESPECT!!! :)) So cool! At first glance, I really thought it was Karl:))

Karl, H&M and Much, Much More...

Keeping in the Karl Lagerfeld mood...enjoy this ad at the H&M collection by Karl (it's a pretty old video, almost fashion-history, but it's just too good to be true).
For your pleasure:
...and mine too!

Words From/Of Karl Lagerfeld (part2)

7. There is a moment when you have to accept that somebody else is younger and fresher and hotter. Life is not a beauty contest.

8. My people are zee cool ones, the rockers. I get along with everyone except for men my age, who are bourgeois or retired or boring, and cannot follow the evolution of time and mood.

9. In the whole world, there is nowhere I can go. Everybody has a camera, and it is flash-flash-flash, and I am a puppet, a marionette, Mickey at Disneyland for children to play with. In Japan, they touch me. I have Japanese women pinch my ass, so now I must say, 'You can have the photo, but please don't touch me.'
You cannot pinch the ass of a man my age!
And I cannot go out without something for my eyes, because someone might throw chemicals in my face, and I would be like my childhood French teacher whose wife burnt him with acid, Mr. Pommes-Frites, can you believe the name. I can cross the street nowhere in the world, I can never go into a shop. Oh, it's horrible, horrible... In fact, I do like it. It's very flattering, and very fun.

10. I hated the company of other children. I wanted to be a grownup person, to be taken seriously. I hated the idea of childhood; I thought it was a moment of endless stupidity.

11. Also I cannot go on airlines because people stare at me, you have to be touched by people. I hate that...I hate bespoke because I hate to be touched by strangers. It bores me to death.

12. No. No. No. No. No. They (sauces) are really the dangerous thing in life, I think. If there's something dangerous, sauces are dangerous for the body.
