Happy Birthday Barbie!!!

You don't look a day older (even if now you are a 50 year-old woman) since you were born.
You know her, I know her, you had one, I did also...and if you are a guy, you've looked at her in a sexual way. That's ok, she's truly fictional, because no one with a figure like that could survive. Even so, she is considered an image for perfection. Maybe in trying to achieve the Barbie perfection, you reach the real-life one...who knows.
You are right, I'm not going to say not even 1 bad thing about her. She's a childhood toy and she's going to remain that for me. I adore her! That's it!
Happy 50th Birthday Barbie!
Go here (ITH) to see a nice slide show about Barbie and her history.

So Now You'll Know!

LOVE IT ALL!!!!!

Monkey Business!

A cute and colorful photo shoot, featuring model Ali Michael, for Russian Vogue.
This is the proof we've all been waiting: colors are back, with an '80s vibe; so no matter if you like it, the streets will be full of hot pinks, greens, yellows and all the other!
But as I said it before, no worries, the true '80s won't truly come back (for now...but we all hope it will be forever), only trends from those years. As you can see here, fabrics in strong colors, printed T-shirts and glam-rock accessories. From: Une fille elegante

The Day After...

yep...after partying, you have to rest (hard). :)) It seams that's what was on Mark Velasquez head when shooting this pic. To see more of his great and funny work, visit his site.

The New Teens

When I was a teen, me and my friends didn't look like this! Too bad!
Ok, maybe not everybody can afford a Prada skirt and main-stream designer clothes, but the style can be easily copied at a lot less. I'm sure this will happen, because the styling in this photo shoot is to die for!
As you can see, these days, even the geeks look cool! But for how long?...From: HautFashion

Cate Acts Fashionable!

Cate Blanchett looks adorable (very high-class) in this Vanity Fair - February, 2009 issue - photo shoot. Lately I sens artists are returning to theaters, using a lot of drama in their creations! A good thing, especially thanks to the mood created!
Yep, we'll all become drama queens! As a plus, here you get to see all the current trends in fashion: the Harlequin, bloody red (a trend that I'm sure will extend during summer), silky drapes and vintage high-class looks.

Facing Fashion!

Is there anything else to say? Clear as water: Karl is the face of fashion. He has been for a long time and will be for a long time. Go Karl! Go Karl!

What's That on the Catwalk?

Is it a human?
Is it Halloween?
Nope...it's super-hero trend! Or at least it was a trend :))
Here is the book that analyzes the super-hero fashion, in all it's glory!
Fun and funny at the same time, this book is bought for the well informed fashion addicts (that will appreciate designs by Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, Moschino, John Galliano, Thierry Mugler, Jean-Paul Gaultier, Alexander McQueen, Gareth Pugh - to name the designers from the images), but also for anybody else who enjoys the world of fashion.I was planing this post for a while now, but I decided to go for a delay because of my plans for 2009; plans concerning this blog. I really want to focus more on fashion history.
Because every fashion lover must know a little more about the thing they adore!
So, by this post, prepare for the future: a lesson in past!:)From: Pentagram

I Like Mia Pythoni!

And after seeing her work, I'm sure you'll do as well! She seduces trough simple clean lines, great colors and the illustration...well, that's gorgeous as well! It's nice to see the dress sketch next to the real dress. This way, you get to see the evolution of the design from the artist's imagination, until it appears down in the streets!
Great job Mia! (visit the blog, to see more of her work)From: Mia Pythoni

A New Day, A New Ring!

Sounds impossible? It's not!And if that's not your style, you can wear them around your neck. So, they are bought practical and fun! Plus, at the same time it goes as an accessory to most trends (bought the winter rock and the up-coming summer soft).
Plus...it has a geeky feeling, doesn't it?From: NOTCOT
